BLOOD SISTERS

By MARGARET WHITTOCK

Thriller, Magical realism, New adult fiction | eBook

Poor angst ridden Lucinda Beste ... orphan, victim of abuse, and obsessive compulsive … one of life’s victims. But there’s no law to say you have to be a victim: and one day, Lucinda wakes up to this fact. What better way to get rid of your abusive police-officer husband than to murder him and inherit his ill-gotten gains? With money in her pocket at last Lucinda eclipses her old identity and persona, morphing into the seemingly indomitable academic, Dr Meg Scrivens. Whilst exercising the fearsome intellect that has, until now, lain dormant, Meg stomps around her university’s Sociology Department in red DMs, terrifying colleagues and students alike and plotting revenge … starting with the downfall of her despised boss, Professor Flint. But why seek retribution just for yourself when there are plenty of other abused women out there to join in the fun? Meg acquires two new friends, Tisi and Alex, and the three women … the Three Furies … settle down to what appears to be a life of domesticity in London. But, all is not as it seems beneath their carefully cultivated veneer of normality … Bristling with larger than life characters, and elements of fantasy, horror, and the supernatural, Blood Sisters is a modern-day fairytale … but a dark fairytale for adults only.
