By Joel R. Dennstedt

General fiction, Literary fiction, Romance | Paperback, eBook

“I love this, I love everything about this.” On a hill above the beach, the old man Gabriel’s days are given to routine and isolation. He is living out his life. He’s removed himself from everyone he loves and deals only with his books, his cat, and the ramblings of his mind. He thinks that he has killed his former self – a young and selfish, failed man. He follows the teachings of a guru who is dead. He thinks he is enlightened. He thinks that he knows life. He prefers to be alone. Until Therese, a beautiful and bright young girl, infiltrates his world.

Joel R. Dennstedt is a traveler of the world. Everything he owns he carries with him in his backpack and his duffel. These past four years (2016) he has been working his way down from Yucatan in Mexico through the jungles, rivers, and coastlines of Central America into the massive Andes of South America. His special interest is for the native peoples of the world. His passion is for books.
