Stinky's September Song

By Peter Grant

Comedy & satire, Short stories | eBook

Stinky is old in this story and has a lot to remember. After an afternoon of soul searching he decides to stop mourning his losses and move on with his life. His grandmother was still smuggling when she was his age and he really should do more to honor her memory. A new generation is on the way and he wants to set a good example for them.

The last weekend of the season is wistful when you spend summer weekends at the shore. It's especially wistful if you've sold the place and are moving on, leaving decades of memories. The last Stinky Story chronologically is placed in the middle of the series because, frankly, it's not the most upbeat adventure. On the bright side, Stinky's fans know how it all ends and aren't prone to unpleasant facial expressions and rude hand gestures like, say, people who followed "Lost" or "Glee."
