Small Town Horror

Can't find your way back to the interstate? Car broke down? Visiting distant relatives? Whatever the reason you're here, you're not certain anymore if it's worth it. Out of the corner of your eyes, you see the townspeople give you suspicious glances, but they never meet your gaze. A child runs past--you're sure it looked like your dead niece, but when you turn, she's gone. The Sheriff stares you down behind black sunglasses with his hand on his gun. It's the unsettling brand of fiction called small town horror--where everybody knows your name, but you're not sure you're glad you came.
